The Virtues of Charity
O you, upon whom Allah has conferred wealth, take advantage of this life spending it for the sake of Allah
Free yourself from being a slave to money
and take from this world a provision for the Hereafter
and make it a profitable bargain for the Hereafter
spend from your money in charity with a good heart
Fulfilling the needs of the believers and relieving the servants of Allah of their troubles
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Everybody will be shaded by his charity on the Day of Resurrection”
and it is narrated in the authentic Hadith that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said that Allah protect a slave from Hellfire even with half a date given in charity
as it was narrated in a sahih Hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him)
that when the Prophet came, `A’ishah informed him about a woman who came to` A’ishah along with her two daughters
asking for food from the Mother of the Believers. `A’ishah gave her three dates. She gave a date to each of them, and when she wanted to eat the third one,
one of her daughters asked for it. The woman gave the date that she intended to eat to her daughter and ate anything from it
What she did amazed `A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her)
the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Do you wonder at what she had done?”
“Verily, Allah has forbade for her the Hellfire, because of this date.”
My brother, spending money in charity seeking the love of the Great, the Exalted is one of the most honored acts that will surely make the mercy of Allah (Exalted be He) fall on you
How many hardships that Allah has revealed from those who conceal the hidden faults of their Muslim brothers?
How many worries and difficulties Allah eased and removed from those who remove the troubles of their Muslim brothers?
How many people were in distress that Allah made for them a way out of it due to their spending on charity?
so spend on your brothers in charity, Allah will spend on you
and it was narrated in the sahih Hadith that the Prophet (peace be upon him)said:
“”There’s no slave except that Allah will speak to, without there being an interpreter between him and Him (Allah), and then he will look to his right side and he will see nothing but the deeds he had previously done, and he will look to his left side, and he will see nothing but the deeds he had previously done, and he will look in front of him and he will see nothing but the Hellfire before his face, so protect yourself from Hellfire by giving in charity even half a date.”
Giving a lot of charity is one of the greatest ways to earn the mercy of Allah (Exalted be He)
as it was narrated in the sahih Hadith that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said)
that Allah forgave a man who used to lend the people, and whenever his debtor was in difficulty, he would say to his servants: “Forgive him the debt so that Allah may forgive us.”
the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: when he met Allah (after death), Allah (Exalted be He) said: We are more worthy of that than him, so forgive my slave.”
so he who spends more in charity, Allah will have mercy on him and conceal his faults due to his giving
money comes and goes
so be generous seeking the love of Allah, seeking the good pleasure of Allah
How can a believer enjoy life’s comfort and ease while Muslims are exposed?
and how can he sleep soundly and enjoy money while the wounds of Muslims are open?
How can the believer enjoy life’s comfort and ease while his Muslim brother is overcome by debt and sorrow and he yet has the money to relieve him of it?
So, you spend , Allah (Exalted be He) will spend on you, and give more charity
