Women Lead Other Women in Obligatory Prayer

Question:

What is the ruling of a woman leading other women whether it is obligatory prayer or Sunnah prayer?

Answer:

In the name of Allah, we praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.

We have authentic narrations that `A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her)‎ led women in prayer. It was narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to visit Umm Waraqah daughter of `Abd Allah ibn Al-Harith at her house. He appointed a muezzin to call adhan (call of prayer) for her; and he commanded her to lead the inmates of her house in prayer.” (Authenticated by Al-Albani) 

The difference between men and women in this regard is that she stands in the middle of the first line.
