Increasing the Number of Rows in the Funeral Prayer

Question: 

Is it recommended to increase the number of rows in the funeral prayer (Salat Al-Janazah)?

Answer:

In the name of Allah, we praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.

Marthad ibn `Abdullah Al-Yazni narrated when Malik bin Hubairah (may Allah be pleased with him) offered salat al-janazah and found a small number of participants, he would divide them into three rows and would say that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, “If three rows of men offer funeral prayer over anyone, his entry into paradise will become certain.” (At-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud)

It is recommended that people should make three rows (the minimum number of people for a row is two persons) while offering salat al-janazah, and that these rows should be straight.
